I, Brendan Cooney, have moved to New York. I have two questions:

1. What are all of these people doing here?

2. Where can I pee?

I’m looking forward to hearing and playing lots of good music here in ‘the city’.

Looking ahead I will be touring PA and the South in September with the New River Ensemble playing some shows of my scores to some old Buster Keaton films and doing a few chamber music concerts. The repertoire: Beethoven, Brahms and d’Indy clarinet trios as well as lots of original music.

In October our annual Not-So-Silent-Cinema Halloween tour will debut a new score to The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari. On the agenda is a recording session for the new Caligari score which we will be releasing on DVD. We will also be doing several shows of our Nosferatu score. We’ll be in Philly, DC, Bethlehem, Boston and Springfield. Boo.

And here is a video I just uploaded, a gratuitous compilation of some of my solos at a recent Boston Swing Central gig.
